Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sidney Ibanez made the kick off which started today's match. Gustave Barrier kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Luka Pellier took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faouzi Linossier. Faouzi Linossier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Faouzi Linossier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luka Pellier, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Xeuilley's goalkeeper Faouzi Linossier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Faouzi Linossier came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Batarelle's Romeo Bonnet. But to his dismay, Romeo Bonnet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 15 minutes into the game, Mehdi Marcoux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xeuilley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Batarelle the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Romeo Bonnet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batarelle's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Bonnet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faouzi Linossier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pierre-Olivier Pigot in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Le Duc, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 24 minutes into the match, Xeuilley's goal looked a bit too open when Luka Pellier came free, but Faouzi Linossier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Gauthier Piret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidney Ibanez might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Le Duc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidney Ibanez ran back to his position shaking his head. Mehdi Marcoux recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Romeo Bonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faouzi Linossier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Pellier in the 34th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Xeuilley's zone, Romeo Bonnet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faouzi Linossier came out of the goal and Romeo Bonnet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Xeuilley's Mehdi Marcoux got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Romeo Bonnet notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Xeuilley's Faouzi Linossier. Faouzi Linossier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sidney Ibanez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luka Pellier was the one to do the kick off. Batarelle's Alban Le Gallo got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 55 played minutes Batarelle got a freekick which was hit by Salim Raulin. In the 56th minute, Ulysse Ferrara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Batarelle's Marco Le Duc didn't even have to move. In the 60th minute, Luka Pellier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 62 minutes into the game, Luka Pellier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Faouzi Linossier. Luka Pellier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Marco Le Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Ibanez in the 70th minute of play. Luka Pellier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Gustave Barrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Batarelle's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Ibanez came free, but Marco Le Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Nathan Blouet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marco Le Duc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Ibanez in the 91st minute of the match. Sidney Ibanez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Marco Le Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Batarelle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Batarelle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
