Franklin Schreiber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renaud Sergent, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abraham Moriceau in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franklin Schreiber saved Sorbiers 1908 F.C. from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Charlie Scheer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abraham Moriceau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Alain Le Rolland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franklin Schreiber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s Boris Gourlay got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Vauhallan's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Franklin Châtellier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Renaud Sergent fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vauhallan's protests and gave Renaud Sergent a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sorbiers 1908 F.C. booed when Vauhallan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renaud Sergent didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boris Gourlay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Steve Hainaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Hainaut stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boris Gourlay's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Djibril Deroche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Schreiber having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Djibril Deroche was the one to do the kick off. Stéphane Lemasson kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Abraham Moriceau kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, one of Sorbiers 1908 F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Boris Gourlay came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Sorbiers 1908 F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Gourlay couldn't finish the play. Franklin Schreiber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Djibril Deroche, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Steve Hainaut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Gourlay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franklin Châtellier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steve Hainaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Gourlay, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Xavier Delarbre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Delarbre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Hainaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Scheer in the 88th minute of play forced Vauhallan's goalkeeper Steve Hainaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sorbiers 1908 F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
