Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marquisat's Raoul Fardeau started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honoré Desgranges in the 4th minute of play forced Epron's goalkeeper Armand Platel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Raoul Fardeau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquisat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raoul Fardeau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salim Damien could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Luc Ruhlmann made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Wolff in the 29th minute of play forced Marquisat's goalkeeper Luc Ruhlmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes, Daniel Renaut mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marquisat and the Epron players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marquisat's Daniel Renaut got a free kick in the 30th minute. Dave Vigot's late challenge caught a Epron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Vigot helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Marquisat getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Dave Vigot hit a great ball. A hard shot by Dominique Sergeant from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Luc Ruhlmann's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Salim Damien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Marquisat:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Epron:s goal. The goalkeeper, Luc Ruhlmann, was totally fooled by Epron's Dominique Sergeant, who 37 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Armand Platel came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Marquisat's Honoré Desgranges. But to his dismay, Honoré Desgranges quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Martin Wolff made the kick off in the second half. Luc Ruhlmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salim Damien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salim Damien in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luc Ruhlmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 played minutes Marquisat got a freekick which was hit by Gaël Érard. Armand Platel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Honoré Desgranges in the 63rd minute. When Benjamin Charles fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Epron's protests and gave Benjamin Charles a yellow card for diving instead. 71 minutes into the match, Epron's goalkeeper Armand Platel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honoré Desgranges. Armand Platel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raoul Fardeau, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Honoré Desgranges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marquisat's supporters rose to their feet, but Honoré Desgranges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armand Platel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kevin Bourquin fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Epron's protests and gave Kevin Bourquin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marquisat booed when Epron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Bourquin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salim Damien's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luc Ruhlmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
