Ludovic Patrac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamza Gantier in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, François-Xavier Lucien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The referee ignored Celony's protests and gave Erwan Gleize a yellow card for diving instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hamza Gantier struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Ludovic Patrac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guînes. 21 minutes into the game, Guînes's Rachid Montero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ludovic Patrac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ludovic Patrac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillaume Lescure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. François-Xavier Lucien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling François-Xavier Lucien in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludovic Patrac prevented the ball from getting in the gole. François-Xavier Lucien struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Ludovic Patrac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guînes. Guînes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Montero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, François-Xavier Lucien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guînes's supporters rose to their feet, but François-Xavier Lucien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
