Rodrigue Delrue was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodrigue Delrue made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Désiré Lesot sent off a good shot on target. After 45 played minutes, Abbaye's Octave Bonetto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximilien Daviaud came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Abbaye reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Karim Schroeder made the kick off in the second half. Karim Schroeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigue Delrue having to interfere. Rodrigue Delrue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zinedine Chauve in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Jérôme Leleux cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Rodrigue Delrue was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joachim Pavageau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximilien Daviaud having to interfere. In the 69th minute Joachim Pavageau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilien Daviaud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximilien Daviaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Pavageau, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Zinedine Chauve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Montagny defense, Adil Toullec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximilien Daviaud. The Montagny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximilien Daviaud should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montagny's goalkeeper Maximilien Daviaud, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Abbaye's goal looked a bit too open when Désiré Lesot came free, but Rodrigue Delrue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Joachim Pavageau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
