Denis Saint-Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Denis Saint-Paul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sommerviller's supporters crossed their fingers, but Denis Saint-Paul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Denis Saint-Paul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abraham Guellec. Venelles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denis Saint-Paul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joe Vrignon made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match, Denis Saint-Paul tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Abraham Guellec saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Saint-Paul in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abraham Guellec saved Venelles from getting behind. Mohamed Patureau's late challenge caught a Sommerviller's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mohamed Patureau helped the player get up and apologised. Mohamed Patureau hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Denis Saint-Paul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Saint-Paul in the 80th minute of play forced Venelles's goalkeeper Abraham Guellec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joe Vrignon came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Venelles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joe Vrignon couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Venelles's Abraham Guellec got control of the ball when Timothe Larche tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timothe Larche was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Denis Saint-Paul sped through Venelles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abraham Guellec. In the 96th minute Dylan Guiard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Clouet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Sommerviller left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Venelles.
