Joffrey Journet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Ripoche, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Charlie Berthelon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yannick Margot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éloi Cosse having to interfere. Éloi Cosse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charlie Berthelon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Gaston Ley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Maclamod defense, Gaston Ley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joffrey Journet. The Maclamod fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joffrey Journet should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaston Ley in the 32nd minute of play forced Maclamod's goalkeeper Joffrey Journet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joffrey Journet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charlie Berthelon to make the kick off. Yazid Pedrono's late challenge caught a Maclamod's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yazid Pedrono helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Darnétal getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Yazid Pedrono hit a great ball. In the 60th match minute, Maclamod was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Garnaud to maneuver through the defense. Eddy Decobert hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Darnétal defense, Yannick Margot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Éloi Cosse. The Darnétal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Éloi Cosse should have stopped the shot. If Yannick Margot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Éloi Cosse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Berthelon went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Yannick Margot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yannick Margot struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Éloi Cosse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maclamod. With a little luck, Maclamod's Joffrey Journet got control of the ball when Joaquim Ripoche tried to sneak it across the goal line.
