Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Denis Saint-Paul started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes Sommerviller got a freekick which was hit by Julien Lucchesi. Felix Clouet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Ley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Timothe Larche managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sommerviller's supporters rose to their feet, but Timothe Larche was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éloi Cosse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Darnétal's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Saint-Paul came free, but Éloi Cosse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Darnétal's Yvan Poret got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gaston Ley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Clouet having to make a save. Timothe Larche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Darnétal's Yazid Pedrono got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Timothe Larche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gaston Ley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ewan Morisot kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Valentin Gustave recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute of the match, Joaquim Ripoche got a very nice opportunity to score, but Felix Clouet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Denis Saint-Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaston Ley made a kick off. Darnétal's Joaquim Ripoche got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gaston Ley sped through Sommerviller's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Felix Clouet. After 64 played minutes, Darnétal's Ewan Morisot shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Felix Clouet came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Darnétal reached it. Joaquim Ripoche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Clouet having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Ripoche in the 71st minute of play forced Sommerviller's goalkeeper Felix Clouet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Gaston Ley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Éloi Cosse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timothe Larche in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd minute, Yazid Pedrono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Saint-Paul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Éloi Cosse having to interfere. When Willy Viguie fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Darnétal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
