The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Miré getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Miré's Rayanne Dhont got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arequipe's Pierre-Emmanuel Latil got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Pincemin got free with Dan Boudeau in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarod Hatte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Antoine Guilbot, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute Jean-Marc Hayot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Boudeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre-Emmanuel Latil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Boudeau having to interfere. Miré's Dan Boudeau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Labbé in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Arequipe getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Édouard Valot hit a great ball. Dan Boudeau made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Pierre-Emmanuel Latil sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre-Antoine Guilbot made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Hayot in the 53rd minute of play forced Miré's goalkeeper Dan Boudeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarod Hatte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynald Guillonneau in the 56th minute of play. Ferdinand Lannuzel took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jarod Hatte. Jarod Hatte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 60th minute, Reynald Guillonneau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 64 minutes into the match, Miré's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre-Emmanuel Latil came free, but Dan Boudeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Antoine Guilbot in the 68th minute of play forced Arequipe's goalkeeper Jarod Hatte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dan Boudeau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierre-Emmanuel Latil's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Dan Boudeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean-Marc Hayot in the 71st minute of play. Jarod Hatte was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pierre-Antoine Guilbot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 76 minute of play. Dan Boudeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Latil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Miré's zone, Pierre-Emmanuel Latil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Boudeau came out of the goal and Pierre-Emmanuel Latil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Boudeau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Latil, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Arequipe's Camille Ben Arfa got a free kick in the 86th minute. Marouane Cahuzac struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Jarod Hatte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Miré. Dan Boudeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre-Emmanuel Latil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miré had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
