Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herbert Morard started the match with the kick off. Yves Davesne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Farrugia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GAS MONKEY's Robert Le Menn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save GAS MONKEY from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute of the match, Gustave Verot got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robert Le Menn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 9th minute, Ranquet's Pierre-Emmanuel Sénac ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robert Le Menn. Robert Le Menn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Ranquet's Yves Davesne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustapha Grognet in the 13th minute of play. Yves Davesne came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by GAS MONKEY's Mustapha Grognet. But to his dismay, Mustapha Grognet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of GAS MONKEY booed when Ranquet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rémy Manzoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, one of GAS MONKEY:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for GAS MONKEY. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mustapha Grognet in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yves Davesne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jason Delporte got free with Robert Le Menn in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robert Le Menn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Morard in the 33rd minute of play. A hard shot 38 in the game by Gustave Verot from a close distance when the talented Robert Le Menn managed to make a qualified save. GAS MONKEY's players were relieved. In the 39th minute, Jason Delporte made a precise shot to the right of Robert Le Menn. GAS MONKEY's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Herbert Morard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Le Menn having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mustapha Grognet made the kick off in the second half. Robert Le Menn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustave Verot's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Mustapha Grognet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yves Davesne having to interfere. Robert Le Menn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Herbert Morard went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Emmanuel Sénac in the 68th minute of play forced GAS MONKEY's goalkeeper Robert Le Menn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Le Menn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Morard in the 69th minute of the match. Robert Le Menn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Delporte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Le Menn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustave Verot in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the GAS MONKEY defense, Gustave Verot kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Le Menn. The GAS MONKEY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Le Menn should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, GAS MONKEY's Yves Davesne threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mustapha Grognet, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gustave Verot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Herbert Morard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Robert Le Menn was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Ranquet's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
