Herbert Kruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Rói Jacobsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Hansen having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Vestmanna FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Kruse to maneuver through the defense. Brian Færø blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Hansen having to make a save. Meinhardt Pauli Jacobsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Midjord, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Alex Rói Jacobsen kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Brian Færø got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Brian Færø took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Alex Hansen to make any attempt to save it. Brian Højsted received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alex Hansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 32 in the game by Herbert Kruse from a close distance when the talented Alex Hansen managed to make a qualified save. Fámjin's players were relieved. In the 37th match minute, Fámjin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sjúrður Hansen to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Herbert Kruse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vestmanna FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Kruse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Hansen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Brian Færø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alex Hansen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Færø struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Alex Hansen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vestmanna FS. Vestmanna FS's Herbert Kruse got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Hansen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Færø in the 66th minute of the match. Atli Olsen hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes, Herbert Kruse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vestmanna FS and the Fámjin players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vestmanna FS getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Herbert Kruse hit a great ball. Brian Færø fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Hansen having to interfere. In the 75th minute Herbert Kruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Hansen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alex Hansen came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Vestmanna FS's Brian Færø. But to his dismay, Brian Færø quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fámjin's Alex Hansen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Kruse in the 83rd minute of play. Alex Hansen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Rói Jacobsen in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Vestmanna FS getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Per Matras hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Brian Færø left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vestmanna FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. There was no doubt that Vestmanna FS were the better team. Vestmanna FS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
