In the 8th minute, Dimas Ucero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Dimas Ucero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verdegas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nete the free kick. After 11 played minutes Verdegas got a freekick which was hit by Dimas Ucero. Mustafá Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ismael Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st match minute, Nete was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vigil Marines to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute of the match Andoitz Gala shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ismael Feliu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Prudencio Moreno sped through Verdegas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ismael Feliu. If Prudencio Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafá Fuentes took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Feliu. Ismael Feliu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After the first half Nete were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prudencio Moreno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ismael Feliu made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Prudencio Moreno sent off a good shot on target. Dabi Tormes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Arnoldo Talavera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vigil Marines kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnoldo Talavera in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iratxo Patiño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnoldo Talavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iratxo Patiño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Talavera in the 65th minute of play. Arnoldo Talavera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Chus Saboya, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Arnoldo Talavera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iratxo Patiño read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Mustafá Fuentes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Ismael Feliu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Prudencio Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ismael Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Nete to win.
