The crowd rose to their feet as Nete's Mustafá Fuentes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Lagunas. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. With splendid footwork Prudencio Moreno arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 7th minute. In the 13th minute, Nete's Prudencio Moreno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Lagunas. Julio Lagunas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Rubén Paz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sinforoso Bravo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Iratxo Patiño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubén Paz in the 32nd minute of the match. Mustafá Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rubén Paz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pepe Saura charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pepe Saura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, El Rubial's Pepe Saura got a free kick in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mustafá Fuentes got free with Julio Lagunas in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

54 minutes into the game, Arotza Gimeno was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Rubial's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nete the free kick. After a rather tough play, El Rubial's Arotza Gimeno got a free kick in the 54th minute. Abundio Coello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tito Balcells's late challenge caught a Nete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tito Balcells helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to El Rubial getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tito Balcells hit a great ball. The supporters of Nete booed when El Rubial was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepe Saura didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, El Rubial's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Moreno came free, but Julio Lagunas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Prudencio Moreno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Lagunas having to interfere.
