José Solo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Ballesteros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beltza Espinosa in the 18th minute of play. Romulo Beloki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Contratas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Isauro Arias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aguas Nuevas CD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquilino Contratas made a kick off. Santi Viejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but José Ballesteros made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isauro Arias in the 53rd minute of play forced El Plantío's goalkeeper Romulo Beloki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agapito Diaz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 56th match minute, El Plantío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agapito Diaz to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Isauro Arias sped through El Plantío's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Romulo Beloki. Aquilino Contratas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Romulo Beloki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isauro Arias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Beloki having to interfere. Santi Viejo scored 2-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Ballesteros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
