Cortes FC's Alejo Ruiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Costa in the 35th minute of play. 43 minutes in the game, Teo Costa fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alejo Ruiz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nando Carballeira during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Cortes FC got a freekick which was hit by Nando Carballeira. After 47 minutes, Hugo Planes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cortes FC and the Magazos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Alejo Ruiz, was totally fooled by Magazos's Curcio Alarcon, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

53 minutes into the match, Cortes FC's Benvido Santalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roldán Valcarcel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Magazos's Baldomero Mudarra got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Baldomero Mudarra off the ground. After having played for 87 minutes, Aketza Talavera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magazos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aketza Talavera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Cortes FC defense, Aketza Talavera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alejo Ruiz. The Cortes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alejo Ruiz should have stopped the shot. Alejo Ruiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Abril in the 99th minute of play.
