Sancho Rapado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Viqueira having to interfere. Odilon Guerrero charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Odilon Guerrero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carcar's Lico Cuadrado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Macia in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sansol's zone, Esteban De Paula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Viqueira came out of the goal and Esteban De Paula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Esteban De Paula put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Cristiano Viqueira. Belisario Sarro hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban De Paula made a kick off. If Esteban De Paula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban De Paula in the 55th minute of play forced Sansol's goalkeeper Cristiano Viqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sancho Rapado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carcar's Sancho Rapado got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carcar's goalkeeper Lico Cuadrado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Sansol's Bela Macia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lico Cuadrado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Carcar players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Sansol from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
