In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Albacete C.F.'s goalkeeper Zabulón Buenafuente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Severiano Cambero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandro Casals showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gomesano Carro in the 37th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Alexandro Casals successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Thomas Canosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruz Zubiaga kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Thomas Canosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodolfo Reyes to strike the kick off in the second half. Julen Avila hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes Deportivo Albacete C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Barroso. Paquito Rua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zabulón Buenafuente having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Reyes in the 61st minute of play forced Josa CD's goalkeeper Alexandro Casals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Josa CD's zone, Rodolfo Reyes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandro Casals came out of the goal and Rodolfo Reyes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Canosa in the 65th minute of play forced Josa CD's goalkeeper Alexandro Casals to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zabulón Buenafuente made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gandolfo Azofra sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the game, Casildo Soto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Josa CD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Albacete C.F. the free kick. In the 71st match minute, Josa CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casildo Soto to maneuver through the defense. Paquito Rua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zabulón Buenafuente having to interfere. Alexandro Casals took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cruz Zubiaga in the 84th minute of play forced Deportivo Albacete C.F.'s goalkeeper Zabulón Buenafuente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Canosa took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandro Casals. Alexandro Casals dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
