After a defensive mix-up in Galarreta's zone, Denis Gibert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Víctor Carro came out of the goal and Denis Gibert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdinand Ladra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliu Mondejar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Víctor Carro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Elpidio Rosario kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Toni España received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Inguma Garzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Herrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Galarreta's Víctor Carro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Galarreta from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Galarreta got a freekick which was hit by Toni España. After a rather tough play, Galarreta's Elpidio Rosario got a free kick in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Galarreta's goal looked a bit too open when Geleberto Crespo came free, but Víctor Carro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fenolleda booed when Galarreta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tonete Alabern didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fenolleda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Geleberto Crespo in the 47th minute. The corner led Fenolleda's Geleberto Crespo to fire away a dangerous shot which Víctor Carro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Eliu Mondejar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Geleberto Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenolleda's supporters rose to their feet, but Geleberto Crespo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Víctor Carro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Toni España kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Inguma Garzon. That made the score 0-2 in the 92 minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Galarreta were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Fenolleda side.
