Mario De la Torre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristeo Vuelta's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Villarejo Seco SAD's Yvon Pacheco got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Villarejo Seco SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Aristeo Vuelta came free, but Mario De la Torre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Real Santander CF's Aquiles Suarez pulled a muscle in his back after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Yvon Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Real Santander CF's Aristeo Vuelta in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Caton Cazorla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Aristeo Vuelta came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Real Santander CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristeo Vuelta couldn't finish the play. René Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Calderon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. During the 64th minute of the match Yvon Pacheco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Yvon Pacheco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Yvon Pacheco hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Aristeo Vuelta in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mario De la Torre, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aristeo Vuelta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Mario De la Torre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mario De la Torre was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Valentín Soldado capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valentín Soldado really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in Villarejo Seco SAD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Delmiro Calderon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Pais having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Real Santander CF got a freekick which was hit by Caton Cazorla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfredo Molina in the 92nd minute of play forced Real Santander CF's goalkeeper René Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When José Estrada fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villarejo Seco SAD's protests and gave José Estrada a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th match minute, Villarejo Seco SAD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Estrada to maneuver through the defense. Villarejo Seco SAD's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Aristeo Vuelta scored to the left of an out of position Mario De la Torre, making the score, 1-4. The Real Santander CF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
