Casa De Las Cauques's Pelayo Lagunas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Anter Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan-Alfredo Rallo in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alonso Dulce to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Casa De Las Cauques booed when Cartagena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a left leg Anter Perez saved Casa De Las Cauques from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Casa De Las Cauques's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Alfredo Rallo came free, but Anter Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Cartagena's goal looked a bit too open when Alonso Dulce came free, but Isaias Arribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonso Dulce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Arribas having to interfere. Osoro Vazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Anter Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osoro Vazquez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Anter Perez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Casa De Las Cauques's Anter Perez got control of the ball when Osoro Vazquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Juan-Alfredo Rallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cartagena's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
