Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juan-Alfredo Rallo started the match with the kick off. Isaias Arribas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Verges in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute Fernando Morera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaias Arribas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Arribas having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Marchalenes AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan-Alfredo Rallo came free, but Siro Lacorte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Marchalenes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Macario Vallejo to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Fernando Morera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaias Arribas was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The supporters of Marchalenes AFC booed when Cartagena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo Alcantara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Fernando Morera came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Marchalenes AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Morera couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd minute, Mauricio Verges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 27 minutes, Juan-Alfredo Rallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartagena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan-Alfredo Rallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Marchalenes AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Anibal Leon hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes Marchalenes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Leon. Macario Vallejo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fernando Morera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Isaias Arribas was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When Franco Escobar fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cartagena's protests and gave Franco Escobar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Franco Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Verges in the 39th minute of play forced Cartagena's goalkeeper Isaias Arribas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mauricio Verges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Morera to strike the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Soldado kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Osoro Vazquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Siro Lacorte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Morera might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaias Arribas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Morera ran back to his position shaking his head. Mauricio Verges took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Arribas. Isaias Arribas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan-Alfredo Rallo in the 62nd minute of play forced Marchalenes AFC's goalkeeper Siro Lacorte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Marchalenes AFC's Fernando Morera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Isaias Arribas. Isaias Arribas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Fernando Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Arribas having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Fernando Morera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a rather tough play, Cartagena's Iosu Leseduarte got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Osoro Vazquez came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Cartagena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osoro Vazquez couldn't finish the play. Marchalenes AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
