Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hermenegildo Gimeno took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Tito Bravo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes, Florian Llorente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Roda CF and the Newport AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of La Roda CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Newport AFC:s goal. Mendebal Feal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Benedicto, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Typhon Raya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perico Morales came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by La Roda CF's Hermenegildo Gimeno. But to his dismay, Hermenegildo Gimeno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 25th match minute, Newport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmau Gómez to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Anibal Dorado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newport AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Perico Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermenegildo Gimeno in the 33rd minute of the match. Perico Morales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermenegildo Gimeno in the 36th minute of play. Alvar Aguilar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Perico Morales made a huge save. In the 40th match minute, Newport AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Benedicto to maneuver through the defense. Hermenegildo Gimeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 45 played minutes, La Roda CF's Eufrasio Villa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Perico Morales came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Roda CF reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Typhon Raya made a kick off. Alvar Aguilar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perico Morales having to make a save. Newport AFC were furious when Bladi Bouzon was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Hermenegildo Abril walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Hermenegildo Gimeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perico Morales having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Gimeno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Perico Morales was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to La Roda CF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Constancio Bargas hit a great ball. Tito Bravo might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mendebal Feal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tito Bravo ran back to his position shaking his head. Anibal Dorado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Mendebal Feal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 84th match minute, La Roda CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermenegildo Abril to maneuver through the defense. Mendebal Feal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Bravo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulino Benedicto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mendebal Feal having to interfere. If Anibal Dorado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
