The tension between the Newport AFC and the CD.Trivao players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CD.Trivao booed when Newport AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolo Zamora didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Newport AFC's zone, Walme Segarra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perico Morales came out of the goal and Walme Segarra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agusti Gene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Typhon Raya in the 6th minute of the match. Typhon Raya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agusti Gene having to interfere. Agusti Gene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tito Bravo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, CD.Trivao's Walme Segarra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Perico Morales narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Newport AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Walme Segarra 20 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After 38 minutes of play, Newport AFC's Typhon Raya made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Agusti Gene was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Newport AFC's Perico Morales got control of the ball when Tato Ortega tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 played minutes Newport AFC got a freekick which was hit by Anibal Dorado. CD.Trivao's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vistruario Castan in the 48th minute. The corner ended in Vistruario Castan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Newport AFC's Perico Morales did a great save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walme Segarra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Agusti Gene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Typhon Raya in the 52nd minute of play. Typhon Raya showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When Paulino Benedicto came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Newport AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Benedicto couldn't finish the play. CD.Trivao's Agusti Gene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Bravo in the 76th minute of play.
