Roque Escobar started the match with the kick off. Candelario Herrera scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Medardo Gala, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pericles Landa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Roldán Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roque Escobar scored 1-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fábio Candela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Medardo Gala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Garzon in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Salbatore Huguet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Escobar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Fábio Candela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Wanchos FC. 33 minutes into the match, Roque Escobar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fábio Candela, 3-2. Roldán Mora might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Candela. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roldán Mora ran back to his position shaking his head. After 38 minutes, Vitin Abajas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Algeciras and the Wanchos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roldán Mora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Candela having to interfere.

After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Roldán Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wanchos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roldán Mora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fábio Candela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salbatore Huguet couldn't finish the play. Roldán Mora recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Roldán Mora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wanchos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roldán Mora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Medardo Gala showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Garzon, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Fábio Candela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roldán Mora in the 86th minute of play. Salbatore Huguet took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Candela. Fábio Candela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roque Escobar in the 97th minute of play forced Algeciras's goalkeeper Fábio Candela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
