In the 10th minute, Agustín Barroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Fix Sabina fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fornells's protests and gave Fix Sabina a yellow card for diving instead. After 11 played minutes Fornells got a freekick which was hit by Fix Sabina. 13 minutes into the match, Fornells's goalkeeper Gaitano Bermudez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Agustín Barroso. Diagur Belalcaraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quique De la Torre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 16 played minutes Gatomorto got a freekick which was hit by Bilbo Elias. In the 19th minute Turi Bencoiechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diagur Belalcaraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gallo Amorebieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute, Quique De la Torre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diagur Belalcaraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quique De la Torre went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gatomorto's Gallo Amorebieta got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaitano Bermudez made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Agustín Barroso sent off a good shot on target. If Agustín Barroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaitano Bermudez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Barroso in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Fornells's Quique De la Torre got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd match minute, Fornells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quique De la Torre to maneuver through the defense. Diagur Belalcaraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucero Jurado in the 48th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucero Jurado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diagur Belalcaraz made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Turi Bencoiechea sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, Gatomorto's goalkeeper Diagur Belalcaraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turi Bencoiechea. Gatomorto's Agustín Barroso got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Agustín Barroso came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Gatomorto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agustín Barroso couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Gatomorto's Gallo Amorebieta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaitano Bermudez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Alejandro Azeari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaitano Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Gallo Amorebieta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Gaitano Bermudez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gallo Amorebieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaitano Bermudez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gallo Amorebieta ran back to his position shaking his head. Gallo Amorebieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaitano Bermudez having to interfere. In the 77th minute Agustín Barroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaitano Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 78 minutes, Gallo Amorebieta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gatomorto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gallo Amorebieta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pelayo Morales came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diagur Belalcaraz could save by the left post. Esteban De Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
