Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's Fermín Rosario started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Naval's Juan Alcaraz got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Fidel Serena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ted Smedengaard skillfully saved the ball. In the 5th match minute, Naval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Casta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermín Rosario in the 9th minute of play forced Naval's goalkeeper Ted Smedengaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Serena during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Alcaraz in the 14th minute of play forced San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's goalkeeper Tito Pascua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Fermín Rosario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ted Smedengaard was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ted Smedengaard came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's Fermín Rosario. But to his dismay, Fermín Rosario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 28th minute Fermín Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Smedengaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Naval's goal looked a bit too open when Fermín Rosario came free, but Ted Smedengaard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Smedengaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jesús Talavera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Naval getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alvaro Casta hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Canor Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's Fermín Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juan Alcaraz to make the kick off. Fermín Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Casanova was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 55 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Naval:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD:s goal. In the 57th minute, the referee gave San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD a penalty. Zabal Puig looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ted Smedengaard. Ted Smedengaard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermín Rosario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Jesús Talavera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Smedengaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Smedengaard made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Jesús Talavera sent off a good shot on target. Naval's Ted Smedengaard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Naval from getting a goal against them. Fermín Rosario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Ted Smedengaard successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ted Smedengaard was a little too slow when Fermín Rosario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 80th minute Fermín Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Smedengaard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesús Talavera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Ted Smedengaard when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jesús Talavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's Tito Pascua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cresenciano Cardeñosa in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Román De Pedro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ted Smedengaard. That made the score 0-5 in the 92 minute of play. With his leg Ted Smedengaard managed to avoid a goal in the 98thth minute, when San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD's Jesús Talavera fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Martin De Valdeiglesias CD walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
