An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Bermejo in the 19th minute of play forced Carrofeito's goalkeeper Dario Palencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carrofeito's Jorge Ibanez got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Portugalejo CF's Pelayo Escobar got a free kick in the 21st minute. Jorge Ibanezs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Fonso Coya to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Portugalejo CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carrofeito:s goal. Jorge Ibanez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fonso Coya firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rubén Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fonso Coya having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Polo Aguilar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Caton Zafrilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrofeito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caton Zafrilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jorge Ibanez came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Carrofeito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Ibanez couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Polo Aguilar in the 56th minute of play forced Carrofeito's goalkeeper Dario Palencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Polo Aguilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugalejo CF's goalkeeper Fonso Coya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Portugalejo CF's Fonso Coya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ibanez in the 65th minute of play. If Caton Zafrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Portugalejo CF's Delfino Leyva got a free kick in the 74th minute. Carrofeito were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Portugalejo CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Caton Zafrilla took the corner. Carrofeito's Jorge Ibanez got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Ibanez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fonso Coya having to make a save. 89 minutes into the game, Jorge Ibanez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Fonso Coya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Caton Zafrilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carrofeito's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
