Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Izalzu's Nestor Naranjo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Izalzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gartzea Olle to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Naranjo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chus España having to interfere. Patxi Bouzas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Teruel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Carcaixent got a freekick which was hit by Toro Pais. 17 minutes into the game, Carcaixent's Jaime Teruel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patxi Bouzas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Teruel in the 20th minute of play forced Izalzu's goalkeeper Patxi Bouzas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chus España made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubén Etxeberria in the 31st minute. 37 minutes in the game, Rubén Etxeberria fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Chus España having to interfere. In the 44th minute Nestor Naranjo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chus España saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Naranjo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Chus España tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Teruel was the one to do the kick off. Chico Garrido recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Rubén Etxeberria made a precise shot to the right of Chus España. Carcaixent's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carcaixent! Patxi Bouzas was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Karlo Peña. Chico Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Patxi Bouzas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chus España made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubén Etxeberria in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Izalzu booed when Carcaixent was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toro Pais didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Nestor Naranjo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izalzu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nestor Naranjo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Izalzu's zone, Jaime Teruel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patxi Bouzas came out of the goal and Jaime Teruel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chico Garrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Patxi Bouzas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Teruel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patxi Bouzas. That made the score 2-2 in the 90 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Izalzu's Rubén Etxeberria got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th match minute, Carcaixent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toro Pais to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
