After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Hassan Vazquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montserrat's supporters rose to their feet, but Hassan Vazquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xesc Parra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Hassan Vazquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Hassan Vazquez notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Rocha F.C.'s Xesc Parra. Xesc Parra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute Saturnino Elguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xesc Parra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saturnino Elguero in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xesc Parra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute Gabriel Aguilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frutos Higuera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oxel Casals got free with Frutos Higuera in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chan Viejo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Xesc Parra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Vazquez in the 39th minute of play. If Saturnino Elguero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of La Rocha F.C. booed when Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demario Vazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hassan Vazquez was the one to do the kick off. Romeo Mondejar took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xesc Parra. Xesc Parra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Saturnino Elguero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xesc Parra having to interfere. Hassan Vazquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xesc Parra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, one of La Rocha F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Montserrat's Florencio Canyelles got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Xesc Parra. Dabi Castro hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Hassan Vazquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Saturnino Elguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xesc Parra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Elguero in the 77th minute. A collision led to Montserrat getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hassan Vazquez hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Saturnino Elguero notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of La Rocha F.C.'s Xesc Parra. Xesc Parra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xesc Parra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Vazquez in the 94th minute of play. Xesc Parra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hassan Vazquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Montserrat's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
