Hernán Amer made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bernardo Tormes. 10 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Carballeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Leseduarte. Gabarderal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Carballeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 16 minutes into the match, Gabarderal's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Carballeira came free, but Fulgencio Leseduarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Leseduarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chayo Palomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Angelino Blazquez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fulgencio Leseduarte. Gabarderal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fulgencio Leseduarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Jauregui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulgencio Leseduarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Jauregui in the 26th minute of the match. If Gaudencio Carballeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes in the game Bernardo Tormes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Osvaldo Jauregui. 34 minutes into the match, Gabarderal's Chano Rapado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herodes De Pedro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Chano Rapado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Rallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Herodes De Pedro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chayo Palomar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Leseduarte having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabio Obis was the one to do the kick off. Eliazar Clemente charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliazar Clemente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 53 played minutes Nuevo Santuario got a freekick which was hit by Eliazar Clemente. Fulgencio Leseduarte made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Gaudencio Carballeira sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute, Nuevo Santuario's Chayo Palomar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 62 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Carballeira notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Gabarderal's Fulgencio Leseduarte. Fulgencio Leseduarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fulgencio Leseduarte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Carballeira in the 65th minute. When Gabarderal's Fabio Obis in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nuevo Santuario's goalie prevented a goal. Herodes De Pedro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Rallo in the 70th minute of the match. Nuevo Santuario's Osvaldo Jauregui shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fulgencio Leseduarte but with some difficulty. Gaudencio Carballeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Leseduarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaudencio Carballeira ran back to his position shaking his head. Rubio Peña hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Gabarderal's Fulgencio Leseduarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chayo Palomar in the 90th minute of play. Gaudencio Carballeira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 97th playminute. Nuevo Santuario's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
