The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rosario Rivas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Ruguilla's goal looked a bit too open when Frederick Dean came free, but Tabor Quiroga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Pliego's Juan Bouzas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tabor Quiroga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tabor Quiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederick Dean, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Juan Bouzas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tabor Quiroga was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Rosario Rivas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teobaldo Salazar in the 24th minute. Frederick Dean took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tabor Quiroga. Tabor Quiroga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 55 played minutes Pliego got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Bravo. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ernesto Sevilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruguilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Sevilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosario Rivas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tabor Quiroga made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Frederick Dean sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Ruguilla getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Ernesto Sevilla hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Sevilla in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosario Rivas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rosario Rivas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Bravo during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Teobaldo Salazar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rosario Rivas having to make a save. Pliego's Rosario Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Sevilla in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
