After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Frederick Dean managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pliego's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederick Dean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Lastras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oriche Escobar during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Panduri Tg jiu's Oriche Escobar got a free kick in the 61st minute. When Ezker Arenas fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pliego's protests and gave Ezker Arenas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pliego getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ezker Arenas hit a great ball. When Frederick Dean came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Pliego fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederick Dean couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Panduri Tg jiu's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Bouzas came free, but Natanael Lastras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Bouzas in the 97th minute of play forced Panduri Tg jiu's goalkeeper Natanael Lastras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
