After a rather tough play, Pliego's Xamin Cruz got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Sixto Morales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Che Pabon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rosario Rivas made a huge save. Elias Nunez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Bouzas in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, C.D. Esparragal's goal looked a bit too open when Aritz Etxeberria came free, but Elias Nunez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pliego could leave the field as winners, despite C.D. Esparragal having more of the ball for most of the match.
