Arotza Etxeberria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Godfredo Sierra having to make a save. After 15 minutes, Roi Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATROFIATS FC and the Villanueva Del Pardillo UD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes ATROFIATS FC got a freekick which was hit by Roi Costa. If Flavio Muelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute García Mala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bitxintxo Cienfuegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godfredo Sierra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacques Casillas's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arotza Etxeberria in the 24th minute of play forced Villanueva Del Pardillo UD's goalkeeper Godfredo Sierra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by García Mala in the 28th minute of play forced ATROFIATS FC's goalkeeper Bitxintxo Cienfuegos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bitxintxo Cienfuegos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from García Mala in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Villanueva Del Pardillo UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Fuente to maneuver through the defense. Arotza Etxeberria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. García Mala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bitxintxo Cienfuegos having to interfere. Bitxintxo Cienfuegos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Muelas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixto Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when García Mala stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. ATROFIATS FC's Jacques Casillas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arotza Etxeberria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Beti Casillas fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villanueva Del Pardillo UD's protests and gave Beti Casillas a yellow card for diving instead. Beti Casillas hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Arotza Etxeberria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacques Casillas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Godfredo Sierra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. García Mala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Bitxintxo Cienfuegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. García Mala struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Bitxintxo Cienfuegos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Villanueva Del Pardillo UD. In the 75th minute, Josue Gonzáles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Flavio Muelas came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Villanueva Del Pardillo UD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Muelas couldn't finish the play. In the 78th match minute, ATROFIATS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josue Gonzáles to maneuver through the defense. García Mala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Villanueva Del Pardillo UD's Flavio Muelas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Josue Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Villanueva Del Pardillo UD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villanueva Del Pardillo UD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
