El Brillante FC's Eloy Batuecas got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Altea la Vieja C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucero Perez came free, but Rodolfo Losada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, El Brillante FC's goalkeeper Lluciano Morales had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramón Clemente. Eneko Martinez's late challenge caught a El Brillante FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The El Brillante FC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when El Brillante FC's Eloy Batuecas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. El Brillante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucero Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Losada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Altea la Vieja C.F. getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Loren Astudillo hit a great ball. Lluciano Morales showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Hidalgo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
