Aznar Aguilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Valcarcel having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Anastasio Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Balmaseda SAD's Arturo Cano got control of the ball when Aldo Carro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aldo Carro struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Arturo Cano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aguas Nuevas AFC. Aldo Carro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Balmaseda SAD's Anastasio Gil got a free kick in the 24th minute. Elixio Lillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aldo Carro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Aguas Nuevas AFC's Ermegildo Valcarcel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aznar Aguilar in the 40th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aldo Carro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When James Companys fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balmaseda SAD's protests and gave James Companys a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th minute, one of Balmaseda SAD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Balmaseda SAD. In the 64th minute, Cordeal Iniesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Cano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Toxeiro in the 66th minute of play. Aguas Nuevas AFC's Ermegildo Valcarcel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aznar Aguilar in the 69th minute of play. Aldo Carro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Cano having to interfere. Arturo Cano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Carro in the 88th minute of play. Aguas Nuevas AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
