The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Medardo Alarcon to strike the kick off in the second half. Mateo Pascua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galo Torres in the 52nd minute of play. When Galo Mayor fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bellamar FC's protests and gave Galo Mayor a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bellamar FC's Galo Mayor got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Mateo Pascua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galo Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Galo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Venta De Los Santos AFC's zone, Medardo Alarcon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giraldo Ucero came out of the goal and Medardo Alarcon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venta De Los Santos AFC's Giraldo Ucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medardo Alarcon in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute, Rosalio Baeza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cecilio Turienzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ametz Serra hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Medardo Alarcon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Medardo Alarcon came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Bellamar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Medardo Alarcon couldn't finish the play.
