Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sixto Gonzáles started the match with the kick off. In the 12th minute, Cebo Serena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cartagena AFC booed when Cabezon De Liebana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toribio Gomar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Verges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Zaplana having to interfere. When Severino Verges came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Cabezon De Liebana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Verges couldn't finish the play. Marcelino Martinezs short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Federico Zaplana to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Severiano Castillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabon Talavera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marques Salazar charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marques Salazar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sixto Gonzáles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabon Talavera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Severiano Castillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Atauri Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartagena AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atauri Flores was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes of play, Cartagena AFC's Sixto Gonzáles made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severiano Castillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Cartagena AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Verges to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabon Talavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabon Talavera struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Severiano Castillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartagena AFC. Cabezon De Liebana's Severiano Castillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Gonzáles in the 61st minute of play. Gabon Talavera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severiano Castillo having to interfere. Derwin Cacheres kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Severiano Castillo was a little too slow when Sixto Gonzáles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 70th match minute, Cartagena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sabino Baños to maneuver through the defense. When Cabezon De Liebana's Marcelino Martinez in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cartagena AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 79 minutes into the game, Sixto Gonzáles lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Severiano Castillo. Severiano Castillo made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Gabon Talavera sent off a good shot on target. Federico Zaplana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Verges in the 90th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cabezon De Liebana! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Cartagena AFC. Aurelio Solano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Severiano Castillo. 0-4.
