After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rigoberto Cabrera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Gunyoles's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Cabrera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alirio Mondejar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Marcos having to interfere. A collision led to Les Gunyoles getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Zadornin Balboa hit a great ball. Ernesto Salgado hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pacho Batuecas in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabricio Barral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Les Gunyoles's Marco Marcos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alirio Mondejar in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Les Gunyoles's Pacho Batuecas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabricio Barral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alirio Mondejar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hustaz Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Alirio Mondejar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Marcos having to interfere. When Ereinotz Titos fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Les Gunyoles's protests and gave Ereinotz Titos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Martinet booed when Les Gunyoles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ereinotz Titos didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Les Gunyoles's Marco Marcos got control of the ball when Etor Sabina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rigoberto Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fabricio Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pacho Batuecas to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Brion Llorca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Martinet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les Gunyoles the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Martinet fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Alirio Mondejar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Marco Marcos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Alirio Mondejar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Marcos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alirio Mondejar might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Marcos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alirio Mondejar ran back to his position shaking his head. Cutberto Naranjo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cutberto Naranjo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cutberto Naranjo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 74 minutes into the game, when Mon Dulce put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Martinet a penalty, 76 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hermenegildo Gómez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Les Gunyoles's Marco Marcos. 2-1. 80 minutes into the match, Les Gunyoles's goal looked a bit too open when Alirio Mondejar came free, but Marco Marcos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alirio Mondejar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Marcos having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Alirio Mondejar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Les Gunyoles's Marco Marcos. Marco Marcos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 97th minute of the match Hermenegildo Gómez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Marcos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martinet's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
