Perrando Rossello came out of the goal and Joachim Beloki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oscar Sánchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Perrando Rossello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oscar Sánchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joachim Beloki struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Perrando Rossello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eltzaburu. A collision led to Eltzaburu getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Benvido Marin hit a great ball. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Eltzaburu's goalkeeper Mauricio Abasalo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Anxelu Balboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Saturnino Candamil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Abasalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Saturnino Candamil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mauricio Abasalo, 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlondo Marcos during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beniaján AFC's Orlondo Marcos got a free kick in the 39th minute. Oscar Sánchez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Perrando Rossello having to make a save. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Sánchez to strike the kick off in the second half. Beniaján AFC's Mateo Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 54th minute of the game. One of Eltzaburu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Beniaján AFC:s goal. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Beniaján AFC. Marcos Castan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mauricio Abasalo. 2-0. Saturnino Candamil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Mauricio Abasalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perrando Rossello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Sánchez in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Candamil in the 70th minute of play forced Eltzaburu's goalkeeper Mauricio Abasalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saturnino Candamil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Beniaján AFC's Saturnino Candamil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Abasalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Beniaján AFC's zone, Oscar Sánchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perrando Rossello came out of the goal and Oscar Sánchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Beniaján AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saturnino Candamil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Beniaján AFC had won after a very even match.
