The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Froilan Campello fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Cerricos FC's protests and gave Froilan Campello a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Froilan Campello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes, Reus FC's Ariando De Toro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Millán came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Reus FC reached it. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Asteri Idiaquez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 7thth minute of the game Hermelando Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Cerricos FC's Camilo Millán was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 8 played minutes Los Cerricos FC got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Campello. After 9 played minutes Los Cerricos FC got a freekick which was hit by Millán Alfaro. When Hermelando Marques came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Reus FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermelando Marques couldn't finish the play. Iker Comas hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Camilo Millán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermelando Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Asteri Idiaquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reus FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Raúl Pardo 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. If Raúl Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gallo Bacete took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Asteri Idiaquez. Asteri Idiaquez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raúl Pardo in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asteri Idiaquez saved Reus FC from getting behind. Gallo Bacete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raúl Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Porfirio Dellasierra couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Los Cerricos FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Froilan Campello hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Perico Rivera made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Millán. Los Cerricos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Camilo Millán made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermelando Marques in the 77th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Raúl Pardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Asteri Idiaquez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Asteri Idiaquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Pardo in the 94th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart.
