Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Venceslao Urruti in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pepe Lara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aznaro Calvo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorio Reyes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Pintueles AD defense, Teodosio Viqueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pepe Lara. The Pintueles AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pepe Lara should have stopped the shot. Pepe Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Buenafuente in the 16th minute of the match. Baleren Reyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Aznaro Calvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dorio Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baleren Reyes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Aznaro Calvo made a huge save. Baleren Reyes's late challenge caught a Polop FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baleren Reyes helped the player get up and apologised. Baleren Reyes hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Baleren Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aznaro Calvo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baleren Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorio Reyes in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aznaro Calvo saved Polop FC from getting behind. After 42 minutes of play, Pintueles AD's Dorio Reyes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aznaro Calvo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 47 minutes into the match, Polop FC's Venceslao Urruti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pepe Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 47 minutes, Txema Cuevas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pintueles AD and the Polop FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, Pintueles AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txema Cuevas to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorio Reyes made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorio Reyes in the 53rd minute of play forced Polop FC's goalkeeper Aznaro Calvo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baleren Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Pintueles AD booed when Polop FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mon De Toro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Baleren Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aznaro Calvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Pintueles AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Polop FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
