Manel Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Margarita FC's Roger Flores got a free kick in the 5th minute. Reynaldo Herrera might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dolfos Ponce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Herrera ran back to his position shaking his head. Dolfos Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otero Saura in the 10th minute of play. Reynaldo Herrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dolfos Ponce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Juan-Francisco Folch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manel Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Xalo Dobale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xepe Incera kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Otero Saura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Margarita FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cilio Dean to maneuver through the defense. Otero Saura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Margarita FC booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepillo Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Margarita FC's Dolfos Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otero Saura in the 34th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Manel Pena took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Xalo Dobale to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Otero Saura managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Otero Saura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dolfos Ponce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Margarita FC's zone, Reynaldo Herrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dolfos Ponce came out of the goal and Reynaldo Herrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Manel Pena made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Herrera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Barcelona's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Margarita FC the free kick. The supporters of Margarita FC booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Herrera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dolfos Ponce came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Reynaldo Herrera. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Herrera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Margarita FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Pablo Duran hit a great ball. Juan-Francisco Folch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Xalo Dobale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Sánchez. Cilio Dean hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Reynaldo Herrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juan-Francisco Folch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Xalo Dobale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manel Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juan-Francisco Folch struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Xalo Dobale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Margarita FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Barcelona players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Margarita FC.
