Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Efraín Alcaraz made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Negros's Cresitobalo Morientes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Negros's Máximo Cabrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Licerio Coya in the 4th minute of play. When Baudelio Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Negros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baudelio Alonso couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Negros's zone, Licerio Coya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Máximo Cabrera came out of the goal and Licerio Coya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Meacaur's Duarte Quintero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Máximo Cabrera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Efraín Alcaraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Negros's goal looked a bit too open when Licerio Coya came free, but Máximo Cabrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Efraín Alcarazs short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Alberto Castillo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Anselmo Esperta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Efraín Alcaraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Alberto Castillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alberto Castillo. Baudelio Alonso struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. In the 43rd match minute, Meacaur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Echavarri to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Meacaur's supporters crossed their fingers, but Licerio Coya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Máximo Cabrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Quintero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Meacaur:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Negros:s goal. Matxin Ortiz placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 86 minutes, Baudelio Alonso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Negros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baudelio Alonso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Efraín Alcaraz in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Castillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
