But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Avellano Cayuela couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the game, Adrián Millán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilapericos's Bertran Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oto Paredes in the 8th minute of play. When Vilapericos's Avellano Cayuela in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lucero Darroja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avellano Cayuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Lekumberri Bouzas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albino Idiaquez hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Francis Serrano in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bertran Martinez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 46 minutes into the match, Vilapericos's goal looked a bit too open when Oto Paredes came free, but Bertran Martinez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oto Paredes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lucero Darroja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avellano Cayuela, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Lekumberri Bouzas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albino Idiaquez hit a great ball. Adrián Millán was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Liñarejos FC's Adrián Millán got a free kick in the 90th minute. Vilapericos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
