Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Iago Escurza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Doña Ana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayo Cantabria the free kick. The supporters of Rayo Cantabria booed when Doña Ana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iago Escurza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niva Ibanez charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niva Ibanez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Rayo Cantabria got a freekick which was hit by Niva Ibanez. In the 12th minute, one of Rayo Cantabria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rayo Cantabria. When the match had been going on for 13 minutes, Doña Ana's Román Cruz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bizen Verdeja. 22 minutes into the match, Guilabertus Martinez notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Doña Ana's Froilan Viejo. Froilan Viejo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Toro Cainzos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Guilabertus Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benet Fuster hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Gaston Cartagena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guilabertus Martinez to make the kick off. Simon Ramiréz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bizen Verdeja having to make a save. If Simon Ramiréz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Cantabria's zone, Gaston Cartagena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bizen Verdeja came out of the goal and Gaston Cartagena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Simon Ramiréz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doña Ana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Ramiréz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bizen Verdeja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Ramiréz in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 69th minute Simon Ramiréz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bizen Verdeja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Simon Ramiréz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Doña Ana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Muno Escobar hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rayo Cantabria's Remir Vilanova got a free kick in the 81st minute. Román Cruz, 82 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bizen Verdeja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muno Escobar in the 87th minute of play. Simon Ramiréz hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Muno Escobar's late challenge caught a Rayo Cantabria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Muno Escobar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Doña Ana's Muno Escobar got a free kick in the 94th minute.
