Despite this Julio Irureta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

The supporters of Rosario Central booed when Cantera O Más F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramone Gandia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Irureta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petronio Checa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Cantera O Más F.C.'s zone, Petronio Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Irureta came out of the goal and Petronio Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosario Central's Petronio Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 minutes of play Cantera O Más F.C.'s Ramone Gandia was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 88th match minute, Cantera O Más F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramone Gandia to maneuver through the defense. Petronio Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Irureta having to interfere.
