The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Maurits Mahouny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurits Geilø having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eli Brøggild in the 11th minute of play forced Skerk FC's goalkeeper Franck Dystrup to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurits Geilø took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurits Mahouny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ditlef Fokkenborg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Maurits Geilø made a huge save. Maurits Geilø made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ditlef Fokkenborg in the 18th minute. Heinrich Stallknecht hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Maurits Mahouny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurits Geilø having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Skerk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Laurits Jonigkeit came free, but Franck Dystrup reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maurits Mahouny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukas Kolmos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Maurits Geilø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the game, Heine Heltboe landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Heinrich Stallknecht charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heinrich Stallknecht the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Skerk FC booed when Holstebro Boldklub was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heinrich Stallknecht didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heinrich Stallknecht was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 36th minute, Heinrich Stallknecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Skerk FC's Charley Sotea got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurits Jonigkeit was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Rasmus Hindsig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Franck Dystrup was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute Eli Brøggild shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Dystrup saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauritz Vitus in the 64th minute of play forced Holstebro Boldklub's goalkeeper Maurits Geilø to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Ove Milsø was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holstebro Boldklub's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skerk FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Holstebro Boldklub's Ove Milsø got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Ditlef Fokkenborg came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Skerk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ditlef Fokkenborg couldn't finish the play. Maurits Mahouny received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Maurits Geilø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charley Sotea hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes of play, Skerk FC's Maurits Mahouny made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurits Geilø was left in no man's land by his defense there! Holstebro Boldklub's Maurits Geilø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ditlef Fokkenborg in the 82nd minute of play. Maurits Geilø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurits Mahouny in the 84th minute of the match. Rasmus Hindsig kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 91 minutes in the game Ronni Lødsen did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Eli Brøggild. After 94 played minutes Holstebro Boldklub got a freekick which was hit by Ove Milsø. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Laurits Jonigkeit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holstebro Boldklub's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurits Jonigkeit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franck Dystrup breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
