The audience was convinced that Thorsten Molvig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benni Theilsland was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Tor Wandorf kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thorsten Molvig in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benni Theilsland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Smalby FC's Aleksander Fornill got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute Villy Ganstrøm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Marsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Thorsten Molvig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FenerbahceSK's Benni Theilsland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to FenerbahceSK getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Bernhard Steners hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thorsten Molvig in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benni Theilsland saved FenerbahceSK from getting behind. Aleksander Fornill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Benni Theilsland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thorsten Molvig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benni Theilsland having to interfere. Thorsten Molvig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benni Theilsland having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Villy Ganstrøm made a kick off. Markus Marsel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Villy Ganstrøm, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Jørn Bonby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thorsten Molvig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the game, Bernhard Steners was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FenerbahceSK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smalby FC the free kick. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Smalby FC. Kirstein Hegh stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Benni Theilsland. 0-3. Benni Theilsland made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Torben Kræmmer sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 77 minutes, Thorsten Molvig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smalby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorsten Molvig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Torben Kræmmer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 80 minutes into the match, FenerbahceSK's goal looked a bit too open when Thorsten Molvig came free, but Benni Theilsland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Smalby FC's Thorsten Molvig got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Aleksander Fornill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benni Theilsland was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Thorsten Molvig's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 98thth minute, Benni Theilsland skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the final whistle sounded Smalby FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FenerbahceSK.
