In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sønderkobbel's goalkeeper Kurd Kartin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Heine Reinø showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Hartlov, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A collision led to Gantrup SIK getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Chris Risom hit a great ball. When Tom Koppenberg came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gantrup SIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Koppenberg couldn't finish the play. Gotfred Hladik in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kurd Kartin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Gotfred Hladik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Gantrup SIK's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Hartlov came free, but Heine Reinø reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gotfred Hladik made a kick off. Gantrup SIK's Chris Risom suffered a sore thigh after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Donald Gliemann fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sønderkobbel's protests and gave Donald Gliemann a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sønderkobbel's Donald Gliemann got a free kick in the 61st minute. The audience held their breath when Jari Valsing in the 62nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Kurd Kartin's left hand side. In the 71st minute, Victor Hartlov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gantrup SIK's Heine Reinø played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hartlov in the 73rd minute of play. Heine Reinø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hartlov in the 78th minute of the match. Donald Gliemann kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Gantrup SIK's Poul Hønborg got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Victor Hartlov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sønderkobbel's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Hartlov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heine Reinø breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 93 minutes, Claus Thorlinn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sønderkobbel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claus Thorlinn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Gantrup SIK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sønderkobbel's performance. The match ended with a win for Sønderkobbel.
